Niklas Fanelsa holds the Professorship of Architecture and Design at the Technical University, Munich. He is an architect and founder of Atelier Fanelsa, interested in an expanded approach to architecture based on the design of systems in the field of built environment. Fanelsa’s projects investigate new forms of living, working, and commoning through regenerative and bioregional design. His academic work connects design practice with research and teaching. He was Emerging Curator at the Canadian Centre for Architecture and a fellow at the German Academy Rome Casa Baldi.
