The Experimental Fellowship seeks to advance regenerative approaches to the built environment by supporting the development of ideas through practice-based research – from early exploration to real-world implementation.

The Fellowship is organised around three interconnected tracks, which reflect different stages of architectural innovation. The first, ‘Develop’, supports research and experimentation that challenges existing practices; the second, ‘Design’, facilitates the development, testing, and refinement of building systems and design strategies; the third, ‘Apply’, supports the implementation, evaluation, and transfer of regenerative solutions within pilot projects. Across all tracks, Fellows collaborate with Experimental Foundation's network of partners, who contribute through expertise, infrastructure, and implementation pathways within a shared program framework.
